چکیده

The article describes an algorithm for the strength calculation of thin-walled objects technosphere, taking into account plastic stage work material used, which is quite relevant with increased requirements saving designed and reconstructed objects. finite element method used as a tool studying stress-strain state technosphere objects, physical nonlinearity applied structural material. As sampling element, fragment middle surface triangular object main nodes at vertices additional midpoints sides used. sought unknowns loading step are increments displacement vector components their first derivatives respect to curvilinear coordinates surface. At nodes, Lagrange multipliers act unknowns, introduced improve consistency bin along boundaries adjacent elements. When deriving plasticity matrix step, we hypothesis that stress increment tensor proportional strain tensor. developed was implemented package programs verified by example calculating rigidly restrained cylinder loaded internal pressure.

Finite element analysis of elastic-plastic solids under Vickers indentation: surface deformation

Finite element modeling has been used to study the development of surface deformation during indentation with a Vickers indenter. A wide range of materials with different elastic modulus and yield stresses are examined. Results show that in a pyramidal indentation process, for a perfectly plastic material, sinking-in during loading can change to pile-up in unloading. This phenomenon depends on ...

Finite-element Formulations for Problems of Large Elastic-plastic Deformation

Abstract-An Eulerian finite element formulation is presented for problems of large elastic-plastic flow. The method is based on Hill’s variational principle for incremental deformations, and is ideally suited to isotropically hardening Prandtl-Reuss materials. Further, the formulation is given in a manner which allows any conventions finite element program, for “small strain” elastic-plastic an...

Axial Crushing Analysis of Sandwich Thin-walled Tubes using Experimental and Finite Element Simulation

Application of impact energy absorption systems in different industries is of special significance. Thin-walled tubes, due to their lightness, high energy absorption capacity, long crushing length and the high ratio of energy absorption to weight, have found ever-increasing application as one of the most effective energy absorption systems. In this research, through  carrying out experimental t...
